Reviews
A nice overview of the different types of communication and some of the basic mechanical elements that people fail to consider in their attempts to improve their communication. People approach communication in much the way they do pool. They just start shooting balls and wonder why they never get any better at it. Then somebody actually takes the time to show them the principles of English on the ball, and maybe some geometry of equivalent angles, etc. and all of a sudden their game improves. You need to study communication, it helps, really. What I felt was lacking in this volume were some interactive exercises. I feel that the classroom is the time to milk that opportunity to make it into a communication gymnasium because very few other contexts will ever be as ripe for this as the college classroom.
